Riverside Cemetery
Reflects Affluence Of The Late 1800s
Built in the style of the rural cemeteries found in such places of Mount Auburn in Boston and Spring Brook in Cincinnati, the Riverside Cemetery reflects the sophistication and affluence of Clinton residents in the late 1800s. For those visiting, be sure of stop at the mausoleum designed by Wirt Roland, a local resident who also designed the Kirk in the Hills Church, the Penobscot Building and that art deco masterpiece--the Guardian Building in Detroit.
