Walter J. Hayes State Park

A great place to enjoy the outdoors in the Irish Hills, this 710 acre park that has been home to campers and hikers since 1920 offers hiking, camping, games, picnics, swimming, boating and fishing.  In a scenic setting, 185 modern campsites and two mini-cabins are nestled in wooded, rolling hills next to Round Lake (a no wake lake). Campers have access to Wamplers Lake, an all sports lake. The park is located in the heart of the Irish Hills in close proximity to Michigan International Speedway and many other attractions.
