Chicago Street Bed & Breakfast

Quaint 1886 Victorian Inn
chicago_street_bbbrooklyn.jpg
Owned by Carl and Mary Frances (Schepeler) Moore, this adorable Queen Anne style home in the quaint town of Brooklyn, was built in 1886 by George Cook as a gift to his son, Addison Porter Cook. According to the Moore's, when Addison and his wife were married, they traveled to England on their honeymoon and brought back with them three stained glass windows and fireplace tile. The windows and tile were installed in the house where they have remained to this day, still in perfect condition. The grandparents of Mary Frances, who grew up in Brooklyn, were the second owners of the home and her father, William, Aunt Frances and Uncle Cort were raised here.
